Nasi Lemak Angah
Nasi Lemak Angah started solo as Angah himself operated around KL area. It was a few years after that his wife joined in the business and it became the Nasi Lemak Angah we know today. The recipe is a combination of two families as Angah's parents sold nasi lemak and kueh back in his hometown Ipoh and his wife's parents also sold nasi lemak. He now resides and sells from the exact same house that his in-laws used to sell nasi lemak since 1986.
Nasi lemak Angah has a greenish tint because they add blended daun pandan juice to intensify the richness and heighten the aroma. Angah strives to make the sambal balanced, in terms of spiciness, sweetness, saltiness, and even sourness. He had his wife prepare her version of sambal and he himself will adjust the taste if he feels that something is missing from it. Although Nasi Lemak Angah is a nasi lemak bungkus, they have good lauks as well. The sweet and spicy ayam masak merah is a favorite amongst his customers.

Kedai Tanpa Ada Nama
The nasi lemak at Kedai Tanpa Ada Nama or we call it Nasi Lemak Kak Maimon for the lovely owner, is a nasi lemak bungkus shop that started back in 2008. This shop is shrouded in mystery as the shop really has no name and the recipe is also rather hush-hush. But what we know is that the nasi lemak bungkus is really good.
The sambal is well rounded, not too sweet nor spicy, it hits the spot just right. The deep crimson sambal is thick, having dried chillies, onions and garlic blended in and cooked slowly for two hours. That is the extent of the recipe that was given to us, more mystery... The rice is cooked with the typical santan, pandan and ginger and more secret ingredients. Priced at RM1.50 per packet, this nasi lemak is friendly to your pocket and very pleasing to the belly.
