A patty with cheese and the usual vegetables are fine and all, but every so often one might have a hankering for more unusual combinations. Peanut butter? Cornflakes? Who would've thought, right? But these three hot burger spots in the Klang Valley are all about unique toppings and flavours that work surprisingly well!

No. 14, Jalan 21/22, Seapark, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

I like black buns and I cannot lie...

Of course the crazy folk at myBurgerLab would top this list. When a restaurant has 'lab' in its name, you're pretty sure to expect some off-kilter and more unusual fair. myBurgerLab is famous for their 'experiments' that ultimately end up being delicious and satisfying. Burgers topped with lychees? Peanut butter? Even watermelon! It seems that the sky is the limit when it comes to flavours at myBurgerLab. Who knows what they'll come up with next? But we betcha people will be lining up for it!

KGB Bangsar
23, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur

Cornflakes on a burger give loads of CRUNCH!

This burger joint has firmly established itself in Bangsar and have even extended their arm to Mid Valley. At the heart of this success story are their awesome burgers and signature buns branded with 'KGB' on it. They've got great topping combinations that have won the appetites of many that've come here. Their 'Bash' has cornflakes on it to give it extra crunch, and they've even got a burger with cool egg salad and buffalo wing chicken skin as toppings! And we heard there's even a 'secret menu' of sorts... just be nice to the cashier when making requests!

Big Hug Burger
CT-G-03, Subang Square Corporate Tower, Jalan SS 15/4G, 47500 Subang Jaya

Eek! This burger has legs! Better eat it soon!

Probably one of the most chill-out burger joints in the Klang Valley. Big Hug is all about sharing great food and joy with friends and family. Their burgers are big and generous and has some of the most authentic flavours around. Try their Satay burger which really does taste like a giant piece of sate slathered in spicy peanut sauce between a bun. Our favourite though is their Soft Shell Crab burger with Ebiko(fish roe) mayonnaise: it looks like a burger that has grown legs! But that perfectly fried soft shell crab is to die for.
