Wish I could help but I havent had been there for 2 decades. Never understood the attraction. As I recall, the sauce was a tad more sour and and had more biji sawi than the others but otherwise nothing so remarkeable.Of course it put all those precooked hockey puck Ramli burgers on sale well in the shade but still...

go to Jln Yap Kwan Seng near KLCC. 2 giants facing each other.
Kg Pandan and your long lost Stadium Curry Fish Head.
War of the Heads you win.

tonixe, Im pretty sure that is the famous Stadium Steam Boat, not Curry Fishhead on Yap Kwan Seng. Home of the equally famous stadium chicken wings. Comparable if not better than WAW, IMO.
Still, hazniah, you can get you fishhead curry fix at Kampung Pandan curry house on jln yap kwan seng as tonixe mentioned which I always ranked better than the stadium version anyway.

Else, you can also go to Kg Attap Kari Kepala Ikan at Kg Attap, also a stall under a tree ... Beside their famous kepala ikan, their honey chickens are to die for as well as their sotong!

Just had the Kampung Pandan fish curry on Sunday and it did not disappoint. The fried chicken was a tad dry but still well seasoned and the mutton curry was still unbeatable.

Or try Portuegese style fish curry at Uptown Hawkerstall, slightly different from mamak or indian curry style but you will not be dissapointed at all. Fish is fresh and biggg.. with fried tofu and lots of lady fingers..healthy and delicious! Eat with hot rice and 'Ipoh taugeh" and sambal belacan..whoooaa heaven..

Like the Uptown Fish Head Curry too.... but be there early, usually they are sold out by 9.30pm. The chinese style at Taman Wahyu Selayang is also good, they also have Crab Curry which i think is yummier.... Usually i order both, can't decide.... so better come in groups to try both...

verycolorful, the entrance of uptown hawker stalls food court is in the middle. Its located on your right, first stall next to mamak drink stall. Opposite is Nasi Ayam Berlada stall (which is quite nice also heheeh). Can't remember the name, but i think its the only stall that sells fish curry..

Ayoh, kak hazniah, you soo teringin nak makan sampai I pun teringin nak makan!! Ive asked someone who seems to know but he wants to do a recon first before he confirms the location with me. A good idea too as a hungry asian-malaysian is an angry asian-malaysian. If and when it pans out, I'll let you know. Till then, sabaarlah, kak hazniah! ;p

Its at yap kwan seng lah. You can't miss it. If you come from klcc, head past ambank its on your left along the road.
I doubt its going to taste as good though. Memories often decieve us.

Tehbeng, Im pretty sure thats Kampung Pandan Fish Head Curry. Are you referring to a single story stand alone building? If you see the 4th and 5th post from the top, I think this point was raised earlier. Will let you know soon, hazniah.

Aiyoh! Im sooo sorry, hazniah! You poor thing, all the way to town on such a busy day only to get frustrated! Nih!! Its a good thing that useless colleague on cuti today. Right now I cukup geram dengan dia sampai nak putus hubungan! Thats it, no more tentative sightings from me until I get to do a personal recon and confirmation. Soo sorry again and I hope you are eventually successful in your great quest.

aiseyman...nothing is ever the best. Only nostalgia talking ler... why don't you go ahead and try the other recommendations of the group? I'm sure there are other kari kepala ikan out there that will blow your mind away. I mean personally speaking, i enjoyed stadium but it was still comparable to others out there...

Hazniah, I got good news! I'm just back from dinner at Hokaido Restaurant and guess what?... I actually saw Restoran Ahamed Kari Kepala Ikan Stadium on the way to the Hokaido. Its signboard in yellow and green colour, situated at Jalan Lumut near The Sentosa Hospital, Vistana Hotel. I dont know how to explain the way to you coz not very familiar with the area, maybe someone elso who knows about the area could explain more. To give you the rough area, its near Jalan Ipoh, near Ambank building, Near Hospital Sentosa, etc etc. It is in a row of double storey shop. Quite a lot of restaurant there too. If you see Hokaido restaurant at your left, Vistana Hotel at your right you missed it already. It is at the same row of Hokaido Restaurant. Hope you could find the much awaited restaurant.... Selamat Menjamu Selera...

Well, I search through yahoo for location map of Vistana Hotel http://www.hotelreservation.com.my/hotel/kuala_lumpur/images/vistana_map.jpg
If you look at the map, and see jalan lumut, thats where the Restoran Ahamed is. It is between Vistana hotel and Arab Malaysian Building. From Vistana (left side) Before Jalan Cemur. On the right side I think The bulding Call Damai Kompleks though it does not look like a complex... only shop row...
