The 1st Annual Foodsters’ Awards is open for nominations!

Yes! It's high time that our Malaysian food takes the centre stage! So, it's time to do an awards for all those lovely food people that have fed us tirelessly through the years.


We have about 10 categories and we want YOU to nominate 5 of them. We present you The 1st Annual Foodsters' Awards, and the Foodies' Choice categories up for nominations are...

1. Best Nasi Lemak
2. Best Char Kuey Teow
3. Best Banana Leaf Rice
4. Best Street Burger Stall
5. Best Kopitiam

Please send nominations for your favourite seller or eatery of the above. If you want to explain why you chose them to convince us further, that’s even better! We will take everything into account and ensure we have great nominees for the awards.

Unfortunately this is the Klang Edition of the awards so you can only nominate the great places in Klang Valley. We hear some Penangites going up in arms back there. Never fear, we will do a nationwide awards one of these days and you can get your favourite Char Kuey Teow seller in there. Please send your nominations to Make sure your favourites are in our list before the intense voting begins on the 22th of February.

This is your awards Foodies so make it count!

Closing date for nominations is on the 21th of February 2009.
