What Next for Aunty Mohana.
So folks that is what Fruitastic! and Vegemania! is all about. Healthy and Delicious is not an oxymoron to all you sceptics out there. It’s a fact dealt with lovingly and passionately in her books. “Afterall once I decide, you can’t dissuade me,” Mohana says, “It’s for the men in my life, a legacy of my love.” Mohana has three sons. Vegemania! was inspired by her eldest Sanjeev, who turned into a strict vegetarian at the age of 24. “It’s Asian culture afterall- food plays a central part in our lives. The moment you enter someone’s home, the first thing they ask will be ‘have you eaten yet?’”. We think it’s a lovely legacy Aunty. Keep the good food coming.
What next for this busy lady? “A cookbook for children on healthy food. So many mothers have voiced their concerns to me that their children has unhealthy eating habits”. This idea is burning a hole in her mind at the moment. How do you make fruit and vegetables exciting and accessible to children. She reckons it starts with educating parents first. “You just have to wait and see,” she smiles mischievously.
"She totally blew our minds…"
