Good bread is hard to find in KL because the flour we use is poor quality. All genetic engineered flour, very cheap but tasts like sand. Good bread, go to deli in hotels like shangrila, where flour is imported from rich country like Thailand. [Posted By Raichu]

Bagel is a Jewish invention and wouldn't be very safe to sell it in KL. [Posted By Raichu]

Gourmet Corner in Shangri-la, KL has a few varieties of freshly baked bagels each day. But then again, I won't be able to afford hotel's pastry everyday even though Shang is such a short distance away :(

I've seen frozen kosher bagels in our supermarkets but I can't remember which one. Maybe you can check out Jusco, Carrefour, or Tops. It has to be one of these...

Bagels all the way from NY.... not really but close enough. At the KLCC LRT station. NOt on the KLCC side but the connection to the other shopping centre across Jalan Ampang. Just head down to the ticketing booth for the train at the KLCC station and its just around the corner.

The place you mention is called Bagel Station and it's in Avenue K. It's a franchise. Yet to try it but I heard it's quite pricey.

Yes, yes, yes. All of you are correct! Bagel is Jewish food and San Francisco Coffee sells it. I had a plain bagel two weeks ago at their outlet in KLCC (seconrd or third floor I believe.). Not bad at all.

Just tried the Bagel Station's Lox Bagel and Pastrami Bagel. The Pastrami were over flooded with too much sauce. The Lox was so so only too. Still prefer the Smoked Salmon bagel served at Fit For 2.

I buy my bagels at Ampang Grocers. Its a ssupermarket that caters to the American expat community in Ampang.. Its the same row as La Risata Ampang. The bagels are frozen and imported from the states.. Comes in packs of 4 and in assortment of varieties.. They are RM7.95 a pack..
