Hi, I'm not sure if there's one here in KL with authentic kampung decor with the food to match, its either this or that usually. For food, I have tried Bijan and I kinda liked it. The place is cosy too for function as it is housed in a bungalow. The other place which served a mixture of Malay and Thai food is Poppy, with traditional music band for entertainment. Kinda cool. But that was many years ago. Perhaps, someone should consider setting up an authentic kampung style eatery ?

Try Rebung in Bangsar and/or Ros 911 in Kampung Pandan. Authentic and delicious kampung style cooking.

I think I would enjoy Rebung more if I could order a la carte instead of the buffet spread. I also think that they offer too many dishes at one time and should focus more attention on their very best dishes.

I didn't know that Rebung does not do ala carte. Come to think of it, I normally just have the buffets. I like their siput sedut and ikan bakar there. I find that Rebung is consistent. Haven't been to Ros 911 tho. Where abouts is it?

I think Rebung does both ala carte and buffet. Yup I agree, Rebung is very consistent. Their gulai lemak cili padi is to die for! Yummy..I'm salivating already...

Ros 911 is just before the Kampung Pandan mosque.
