Seems like I always ask this kind of question [ignorant], what's the deal with this Malan Place?

Italiannies in 1-u. I think they use cream in their tiramisu, instead of mascarpone. Also, the pizza we ordered came cold. We had to send it back twice. Horrible. Expensive. No more!

Johnny's in Jusco Klang!!! Lousy service! Waited for like, 10 mins before we were given the menus. Waiters were not alert and observant. Food was not that good either!! Rice was soggy!!! What an experience!

Maredo's Steakhouse in Telawi, Bangsar(where Grappa's use to be). The rib eye steak I ordered last night was one of the toughtest pieces of ANY kind of meat Ive eaten in years. It was like I was hacking into leather. The beast obviously escaped from a corned beef factory.

Yes several places..

Worse one Chillis at all the outlets except for Bangsar. We wer told to wait 20 mins even though the restaurant had 2 tables filled. Was told that the waiter to table ratio was not ritght (1U).

@ Mid Valley, got the wrong orders and insisted that I take it..... Duh?

@ KLCC - It was full to brims, so I had to sit @ the bar ordered some beer and food.. told by waiter that Icant order food there. Guess wat? A Mat Salleh 3 stools from me was having a cheeseburger and nachos????

Worse outlet was 1 U. This time I didnt order any drinks except for water. My meal arrived and consumed and my water did not arrive desptie numerous reminders. Worse still another occasion I had to wait for 10 mins for the bill... I almost walked off despite several reminders and the manager
had to come running...

I guess chillis really #### big time. Never again I shall venture into it.

Second restaurant : MOM's kitchen or place... located @ damansara perdana.

Noted for some good nyonya food. I ordered chicken ponteh. They brought me kapitan instead. Asked for a change and they insisted that ponteh is kapitan. If I remebered corectly ponteh aint a curry dish. More like kicap and soy bean paste chicken whilst kapitan is curried with bread crumbs amidst a coat of hot red oil... Never again.....

I cant believe they told you that at Chillis, KLCC. Ive had lunch at the bar there many times so you must have gotten a particularly dimwitted waiter. Actually, the only place I would reccomend sitting at Chillis is at the bar because their table service has always sucked at all their outlets (Bangsar is no exception). Still, the beer is great (during waktu mesra), the food portions are good and, provided you position yourself within balled-up paper serviette throwing range of a bar tender, the service is more than tolerable.

i dunch like the staff at chillis klcc... very LCLY one! no problems at other outlets

the other one i boycotted was shook! i posted why in kopitiam long time ago, not sure if its still around or not. malas wanna repeat cos it happened many years back. since dat once i never stepped my foot in there again

I agree with biingo... I totally black listed chilli's at 1Utama. My chicken salad came with yellowish and brownish tinge on the lettuce, and the chicken tasted and looked like a day old.. SO hard, i couldn't chew. My daughter's kiddy burger was so burnt and dry. When i complained, the waitress was just smilling and tried to ignore me. Filled up the complaint form but no action, I guess the manager threw it away.

Another restaurant i boycott is Jake's Steak House. I used to love their steak in Damansara, it's juicy and reasonably priced. The last time i went there, the steak was dry and the price went up more than double. A dry rib eye steak costs RM99. Lunch for 4 people costed us more than RM500, excluding the wine.

Relish at Chgankat Bukit Bintang. Supposedly famous for their burgers but horribly dissapoinitng. I ordered the Classic Burger (RM17++ for 6 oz) medium rare with a side of fries(RM5). They brought me wedges insist that I ordered them then 15 minutes later to confirm if I ordered fries. That fiasco aside, the burger was supposed to come with a sour dough bun but instead came with a very dry styrofoam crumbly bread bun. The patty itself was bland and also crumbly dry. Needles to say it was over well done. I can only imagine the state of cremation the burger would have been in if I had ordered it medium or well done. The burgers at American chillies are way better value both in taste and price.

Paddington House of Pancakes screw up big time for me, I was very tempted with their Brussel Gallete (can't remember actual name) but it came with beef (I cannot take beef lah) and the waitress suggested to change it to chicken. So I said okaylah. After taking a few bites, I signal the waitress to ask her what meat is it, she suddenly gasp she forgot to change it !

And I was the only customer then :-(

A few on my list:
1) Italiannies-1U: pasta was extremely salty and service was very slow
2) Chilli's@mid valley: my corn on cob was served ice cold and my friend (who dont take beef due to religion) ordered country fried chicken and got fried steak instead!!
3) Dome's- 1U: My main meal came in ok time, my friend ordered appetizer was only served 1 hour later (even after numerous reminders). We were the only patrons. And it's microwaved food!
4) Delicious-Bangsar Village: We "waited to be seated" as stated at the entrance. No one came after 10 minutes of waiting. We searched for our own seats, went to get our own menu and I had to go to the drinks bar to order my drinks(as we waited and waited and no one served us)!

Shanghai 10 in Avenue K.
Only 3 tables are seated and they have more than 10 staffs walking around and they took 30 minutes to attend to our table after I asked them to take order..


Oh well..
Was pretty fed up and when the girl was finally free to take my order...
I stood up and left..

1)HOMST ttdi or even kota damansara: they gave me stomach ache everytime i ate there.n the food sux too.

2)CHILIS MIDVALLEY: the waiter didnt know how to take his order properly. never repeat the order.n even served us a bloody MARGARITA when we nev even ordered such thing...besides...i dont drink.duh!

3)CHILIS ONE U: food poisoning and not so cheezy fajitas nachos.enuff said.

4)ALL ITALIANNIES: i dun tink the food is that nice. more like wannabes. and the restaurant at the curve really got on my nerves as the waiters didnt knoe how to attend customers the right way.typical!!!

5)CALIFORNIA PIZZA CHICKEN KLCC: pffftttttt!!!super duper bad service. n u haf to wait 40 min juz to eat one pizza.n the best part is...there were only a few of us in the restaurant.n those of u who have been there...u knoe how many the workers are rite?u knoe wud i tink?too many workers...too much talking...

Just came back from Din Tai Fung The Garden MidValley. Have no idea why the services and food are drop so much.

First their famous Xiao Long Bao, it's not hot. Then their Pork Chop Fried Rice was too oily. But the thing i hate most was their service SUCK!!! Rude and unorganize. Would you imagine that their waiter would simply THROW the check list into the chair after checking our order.

Then food was slow come out. Haven't fully finish our food then stupid waiter just clean up our plate and keep on asking whether we finish our meal yet or not. Did they change their management? As i recall when CNY time, the food and service was good.

I certainty will never go back to them anymore. Too bad for a well known restaurant to have a bad and poor services.

The so called famous fish head curry near Kg attap, the same row as the Income Tax building. Charged me 53 bucks for a lousy tasteless, 2 person fish head that was as tough as chicken.

Clearly these people think kl'lites are dumb and have no option but to swallow whatever they spew...

so far, chilis mid valley paling teruk.. lemonade taste like air kosong! wut da tutttt!! i need to add sugar n salt.. crazy! n da service very2 slow.. da best lemonade is in klcc, service not bad.. ok la..

It's MAKAN place.. there was a typo error, and well, it's good to know, so we're more alert when we eat at the 'HOT' spots. Also, this should keep other restaurants on their toes (if they're reading the forum). My 2cents worth..
