Heya! I contracted the chicken pox virus recently and have just recovered, albeit scabs still on my body (and face!!!)
Anyway, during that period, I have been told that I cannot eat seafood, no soya sauce, no black stuff, no beans, no game (duck, wild boar, etc), very little chicken (the ONLY meat allowed), no chilli... well, you get the drift.
And I thought: What am I supposed to eat then??? I was on a MISERABLE diet of vegetables with mee hoon and soup for a good 2 weeks. The moment I am past the quarantine period, I head out to the nearest coffee shop and wallopped a bowl of Pan Mee and a plate of Chicken Rice.
Then I found out that I am still not supposed to eat all those yummy-licious food for a good 3 months!!! OH NOO!!!
My question here now, food lovers, to eat or not to eat? I am told scabs will turn to scars if I continue eating "forbidden" food items. Come on, virtually everything good is forbidden!!! However, if I do eat and I end up with scars... what's 3 months of bland food for a pretty face?
Perhaps there is a kind soul here who actually knows good food that I can consume that is not within the forbidden food list... or is this all just mere superstition?
The fate of my stomache and its gastronomical adventure lies in your hands...
