Don't forget all the processed stuff that is EXTREMELY high on the stuff.
Case in point: Most peanut butters. Check the ingredients. I buy Steffi's choice from Australia. Costs me more, but ingredients are just salt, peanuts, and food conditioners (which is necessary to keep the stuff together).

Doesn't taste as good as goobers though. Seriously, we can make our own. Its not that hard to mince peanuts... tastes oily though... and doesn't last that long. Saw the recipe a long time ago by that guy who's doing glutton for punishment back when he was driving that toaster van.

Geez... are you serious? Its a fungus not the peanut itself. It can affect the following as well... corn, barley, rice, wheat, ginger, chilli, black pepper, pistachio, almond, coconut, soybean, sunflower seed etc etc
Why don't you not eat those stuff as well...
Or if you can't avoid peanut butter at all, then take regular blood tests. High albumin count might mean that you've ingested aflotoxin in your system. It's a long term thing, but can lead to liver carcinoma.

OMG babe_kl you're making me hungry! You just described my FAVE way of having PB!
To anyone having misconceptions about PB, I actually eat it FOR health. I'm what people call a "gym freak" and I take PB as a protein-packet dessert. Due to laziness I don't keep around any walnuts to sprinkle onto my PB, but I do slather it onto bananas for a great post-workout snack!

I used to always have chucky peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I have one bread soft and the other bread 3min toasted. The toasted one at the bottom and slathered with a thick layer of chunky peanut butter. the banana's i use are pisang mas and cut evenly. Then the soft bread on top. I find this nice because the roof of my mouth doesn't get abrasions from the toast, yet i get a crispy texture on my tongue. In fact I do this for all my sandwiches including my all time favourite ploughmans.

TehBeng that's absolutely brilliant! I hate that scrapy feeling on the roof of my mouth! I think I will try this with 2 different breads. Sourdough for the softness (untoasted), and something else for the toasted bottom. Feeling all dreamy thinking about bananas and peanut butter at the office. Haha!

Actually, the thread here says Favourite way to have peanut butter....
Well aside from the sandwiches be it with grape jelly or bananas, and the biscuit sandwiches, my actual favourite way to eat peanut butter is by itself.
I know... glutton.

Celery crudités but dipped in PB instead of the usual salad dressing. Seriously. The celery-peanut combo totally works!

Drools...
I LURVE PB!!!My fave? PB & Chocolate Ice Cream. 2 strong flavours yet complement each other so well!!!
Another fave is to do the following:
1. Open a jar of peanut butter of your choice (smooth, extra creamy or chunky).
2. Prepare a clean medium-sized spoon (dessert spoon)
3. Scoop and eat! ABSOLUTE YUM!

if you go to Spore, go get Gardenia's Banana n Walnut bread! It's great with PB & banana!

My fav is peanut butter on one slice and honey on the other slice, put them together, let the honey and peanut butter merge together, yummy... that's my lunch (sometimes)!
