I had lunch at a Hotel that I will name later. I ordered a Burger served with onion rings and salad etc. However, when the food was delivered I saw they only served french fries instead the onion ring. I immediately informed the server and told her that in the menu it was supposed to be onion rings but now you are serving french fries. She went to the kitchen and talked to the chef and came back to me and said that they were out of the onion rings and that what they can offer and apologized. She asked me if I want to have any additional things with the burger, but then I said its fine. But I mentioned they should give me a discount, I think I deserved it. When I finished the food, she came back to me and ask me if I would like to have any dessert or coffee. I was in a rush, so I denied all those extras. However at the counter, when I was about to pay for the food, the person said that the food is complimentary. We'll I said this is not the point, but they insisted that I don't have to pay for the food.
Anyway, the moral of the story, the hotel's restaurant quickly solved the problem, and I feel that I am going back to the hotel for its service recovery. As a customer all of us have the right to questions the restaurants, hotels etc on our right as customers. So next time if you are in this situation, you'll know what to do. Ask the right question!
I would like to congratulate the PALM GARDEN RENAISSANCE PUTRAJAYA for doing that I will aalways come back for the service that they offer.
