This secretary turned celebrity chef used to cook as a hobby until her first appearance on RTM 1. From then onwards she has appeared in cooking shows, live demos, and she has written many recipe books including her latest with a selection of a thousand recipes! Chef Zaidah will be doing a cooking demo at Lot 10 @ 4pm on the 8th Nov, Sunday.

This charismatic Indonesian celebrity Chef has had over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry working with both Asian and Western cuisine. He is famed for his cooking shows that are broadcast throughout Indonesia.
This Chef was born into cooking in his family’s renowned Thai restaurant ‘Sa Nguan See’ where he officially started working full time in the kitchen at the age of 13. After a variety of experience around the world Saveur named him the “Best Young Chef in Bangkok” for the Traditional category as well as in ‘Food Innovation’.

Here I am at about 10am in the morning drinking enough coffee to put hair on my chest. Although this is not necessarily an uncommon thing, let me clarify that I am not a coffee drinker. But Le Méridien's Bar Captain Shane's 'Ramel' Coffee, a heady concoction of double espresso shot through with ribbons of thick condensed milk, caramel and cocoa is absolutely super. And it comes to your table with the liquid layers intact. It's almost a shame to mix it all up. "I wanted to create something good but also a little Asian," explained Shane. True enough it does remind me a little of the layers of a Thai iced tea.

On October 8th last week Electrolux launched it's concept store in Solaris Dutamas. This is in conjunction with their 90 year anniversary. The Concept Store is a new way to shop for appliances where customers can experience the wide range of Electrolux products first-hand. The store is divided into the cooking zone where a full kitchen range is on display and then the washing and cleaning zones for their washing machine and vacuum lines.

It's been a week and I guess that the ramadhan buffets in the hotels are in full swing. I am happy to tell you that prices are much more reasonable this year.
