Dessert
This butter cake is a real winner. It's hard to stop eating it once you've started. I think I'll have another slice please.
"A buttery bite of childhood"
Ingredients
1¾ cups sugar
300g butter
4 eggs
2tsp vanilla
1½ cups plain flour
1½ self raising flour
1¼ cups milk
1 Tbs baking powder
Method
Beat sugar and butter until fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time. Add in vanilla.
Fold in dry ingredients and milk.
Bake in preheated 180C oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Decorate it with cream and strawberry jam.
