Let’s face it, us Malaysians love our rice and this is an easy peasy fried rice to throw together.
"Throw everything in a wok and let it happen."
Ingredients
2 cups of cold rice
2 inches of belacan
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
2 Onions
Half a carrot
5 stalks of long green beans
3 chillis (the hotter the better)
Half a cup of shrimps/ chicken/ beef
1 egg
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Tbs oil

Tasty and hits the spot when you are feeling peckish
Method
Mix the cold rice with belacan until even. Heat oil with medium heat.
Sautee chopped shallots, minced onions and finely diced carrots in a wok.
Toss in the rice and mix thoroughly. Toss in diced long beans, then meat/ seafood of choice.
Add in one egg and stir the fried rice until egg and meats are cooked (about 5- 10 minutes). Add salt and pepper to taste.
