1. Pound the lemon grass, red onion and garlic into a fine paste. Mix in the turmeric powder, chilli paste, salt and sugar.
2. Spread the marinade onto the fish and let it sit for half an hour.
3. Wrap the fish in banana leaf and grill it in a pan or over a BBQ stove till about 5 minutes each side until cooked. Serve hot with air asam.
