HALE began when two resourceful entrepreneurs faced difficulty in finding healthy, fast and affordable lunch options in KL. Looking for reasonably-priced nutritional meals that were easy and quick was a constant struggle so they decided to find a solution to the problem. After much thought and consideration, the founders quit their day jobs, did the necessary research and groundwork, came up with HALE and the rest is history.

Truth be told, burgers aren’t my thing. I don’t crave it. But once I sunk my teeth into the succulent patty of HALE’s beef burger, I was hooked. Juicy, tender, grounded to perfection from the choicest cut of brisket, the patty is full of meaty goodness. Soft sesame-speckled buns cradle the patty, providing a subtle sweetness. Best to enjoy it as it is, ketchup would just ruin the overall flavour. Classic, no-frills but definitely crave-worthy.



Dressed in their signature secret sauce ( like mayo, but lighter and yummier ), HALE’s beef burger is simplicity done well. No fancy garnishing. Tomato, lettuce, cheddar cheese and an oven-baked patty sandwiched between fluffy wholemeal buns. Phillip Dominic, the chef responsible for HALE’s healthy yet delicious menu took months to develop the recipes.



“It’s all about the right technique and temperature. The wholemeal buns were a challenge especially due to our humid weather, we bake daily, everything is made from scratch, they may look simple but a lot of work has gone into each item” he adds.

Their beef burgers are really popular but you can also opt for lamb or chicken. Keeping true to their concept of offering healthy ‘fast food’ to the masses, patties are baked with no additives or artificial flavourings. They use lean cuts of lamb, lightly seasoned to allow the natural flavour of the meat to come through.



For the chicken, breast meat is used, seared to seal in moisture and then baked. Each one comes with the usual garnish, rocket instead of lettuce for a peppery kick. Pair them with baked waffle fries and a cold-pressed juice for a complete meal.



Non-burger lovers can try pumpkin seed pesto pasta or green curry chicken with rice. Lighter versions of favourites that won’t make you sluggish post-lunch.




Three types of organic wholemeal pizzas are served at noon, choose from Chicken & Rocket, Chicken & Pesto or Margherita. They’re limited so come early to avoid any disappointments. HALE opens at 7.30 am so they also have an impressive breakfast menu. Vegetarian options are also available.
