Normally the chicken rice comes with soup on the side.. so ta dahhhhh....perhaps the stock comes from the soup & bones

Chicken rice is to cook from chicken stock. If a stall sells mostly roast chicken, wonder where does the stock come from?

I just had lunch there after checking out the review here. There was quite a lot of people there waiting for their food and it did take sometime before the food was actually served to us. I had the drumstick piece, it was ok I thought, nothing really to shout about, of coz this is my opinion. I felt the texture was pretty good but the taste was not up to my expectation. I was also looking forward to the chicken feet but they oni had the chicken rice only nothing more nothing less. Price was reasonable, for 2 people with drinks oni cost RM 9.00.

Al Fatihah to Kak Laily.
I've first known Kak Laily when we first moved in Subang Jaya back in the 80's when she had a small gerai in SS13. She's not only famous for her nasi ayam but also her apam. That was a long time ago.
I guess I wont be able to taste her nasi ayam again now since I'm not in Malaysia anymore.

Grew up with her Nasi Ayam. Her's is the originals. The rest that are selling around the area are all copycats or have learned the recipe from her.
by inaimerah February 03, 2007 1:13AM
chicken rice same ler , but if you're expert in makan chicken rice, the sauce do someof the magical spell, oh yeah...I recommended nasi ayam TELEKOM, located at Menara Telekom Bangsar cafeteria. Very easy to find the stall, just go to the security guard and ask for the guide through to the "power" nasi ayam stall, they will show you the way..hehe..
The owner is a malay and from what I know , they learned the Nasi Ayam ingredients from their Chinese friends long time ago.

by The Foodster January 25, 2007 4:35PM
sorry my mistake..not 'source' but 'sauce'
by sukral January 25, 2007 3:03AM
