Inspired after a short stint in Texas and being spoiled by the endless barbecue fare they could get their hands on, Amin and Mike said to themselves, "why don't we share this with the people back home in Malaysia?". The journey began as they gather up as much knowledge as they could and learnt everything they needed to know about smoking and barbecuing every meat imaginable. From Beef Brisket, Ribs and Whole Smoked Lamb, that is how Mom's BBQ food truck came to be!
We had a chance to talk to one of the brothers; Amin- who’s also the Pit Master that's in charge of the whole smoking and barbecuing process for Mom's BBQ. Amin mentioned that every meat here is smoked in-house, using only hickory wood chips for 12 hours with a custom-made smoker that they’ve design themselves. Marinating the meat with a simple dry rub of salt, pepper, fresh thyme and some secret herbs, their grills are as authentic as it gets!

He steered on for us try their "talked about" Beef Ribs. The flavour of the ribs just coats your pallet as soon as you take a bite into it. The simple dry rub wasn't overpowering, instead it compliments the ribs delicately. The meat just falls off the bone, moist and salty! The good kinda salty, you know, the taste that keeps you coming back again and again.

Amin insisted for us to try he's favourite item on the menu, which is the Pulled Lamb - smothered with their homemade tangy Barbecue Sauce and served with a side of Roasted Potatoes, fresh zingy Coleslaw and Rice Pilaf. The Pulled Lamb just melts in your mouth and the integrity of the meat is kept well even after the long smoking process. You will love this wonderful meat-sterpiece!
Look at how JUICY the Beef Brisket is.
Their other crowd pleaser is the Beef Brisket. Even though it's smoked with the same dry rub as all the other meats at Mom's BBQ, the natural aroma of the Brisket gives it that extra "umph" flavour to the meat. It might comes off as tad bit gamey but it gets better as you tuck into even more. Combine it with your Rice Pilaf, and walaaa - simply delicious!
