Yu Ai if you were to translate literally means 'got love'. I saw a lots of couples there so there must be some truth in the name. This place has been known to be packed to the brim during lunch. We came here on a Sunday afternoon at about 2.00pm. There are two floors at Yu Ai and the top level is air conditioned. I've known about Yu Ai for sometime now and their specialty is their seafood noodles.

"Got love for me?"

We tried the tom yam and the regular seafood noodles. The sight of the seafood in the noodles really got me going for the day. The noodle was brimming with seafood. The clear soup version of the noodle contains mussels and prawns slightly bigger than the fifty cent coin. I had about three prawns in my Small Noodle bowl. They also have seaweed in the clear soup, lala, squid and pieces of fish thrown in for good measure.

The tomyam version of the noodle has the same type of seafood in it. The tomyam version is not too spicy but a bit sourish. I like it that way as it reminds of me of authentic Chiang Mai cooking. The clear soup version of the noodle is very sweet which probably comes from the generous helpings of lala and mussels in the soup.
